And in 2022, he became only the third NBA player ever to score at least 10,000 points in a career. James played basketball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron Ohio, where he grew up. Media across the country portrayed him as a potential NBA star. As a prep to pro it was the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the top pick during the NBA draft of 2003. In 2004 he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly became one of league's top players and was awarded the NBA MVP title in both 2009 and 2010. James, who failed to be crowned the champion in Cleveland, in the year 2010, was released as a free agent and signed with his team the Miami Heat. This was disclosed as part of The Decision.
