Lis Wiehl (born August 19, 1959) is an American writer and an ex-legal analyst at Fox News.
She is an adjunct professor at Law at New York Law School. Previously she was associate professor of Law University of Washington Law School. She also has provided legal commentary for Bill O'Reilly's radio show and National Public Radio. She has appeared on weekly shows like The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File featuring Megyn Kelly, Lou Dobbs Tonight, The Imus morning show as well as hosts her own show, the Legal Lis radio show and the Wiehl of Justice podcast.
Wiehl was raised in Yakima, Washington, and she graduated from West Valley High School in Yakima. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College and an MA in Literature (University of Queensland) as well as a JD in law from Harvard Law School.
Wiehl was a prosecutor for the US Attorney's office. She served as the legal correspondent for NPR All Things Considered. She served as Chief Investigator's Counsel for the Democrats at the House Judiciary Committee in Clinton's impeachment. From 1995 until 2001, she served as a tenured professor of the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle in which she was the director of the Trial Advocacy Program. Wiehl is an analyst for Fox News analyst since 2001.
