Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be among the top gymnasts. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at a single Games as well as the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles as well as her sister Adria as well as her brother Ronald Biles were adopted as young children by grandparents from Houston. Simone began to take the sport of gymnastics seriously as when she was six years old during a school field trip at Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach throughout the following 11 years. Biles was awarded a silver medal in vault in 2010 and also a bronze at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Biles then advanced to competitions at the elite level in 2011. Less than two years later she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles was distinguished by her consistency in performance, vivacious character, as well as the difficulty of her routines in each of the four events: vaulting, uneven bars, and the balance beam.
